ReUse - ReMake - ReImagine

A retail and creative space that keeps your donated arts and craft materials out of the landfill and puts them into the hands of our creative community. Stop by to shop, learn a new skill or make some seriously cool art!

Our Story

 The Crafty Krab launched in the summer of 2025. Owner Cheryl Kanzinger has been sewing and crafting since she was 5 years old.  She spent the last 15 years working in the theatre program at Cape Fear Academy as a costume and props designer, technical theatre assistant and sewing and fashion design teacher. The Crafty Krab is a labor of love to the Wilmington community and her personal effort to make a positive impact on our local beach environment and foster a creative space for all.

Our Community

We provide affordable, gently used art and craft supplies, offering everyone a chance to access the resources they need to bring their ideas to life. We understand the impact that one recycled paintbrush or repurposed fabric can have on a project and the planet and we’re here to guide, support and even teach.
