Welcome to Crafty Krab
Our Story
The Crafty Krab was founded in late 2024 with a store launch in early 2025. Owner Cheryl Kanzinger, has been sewing and crafting since she was 5 years old. She spent the last 15 years working in the theatre program at Cape Fear Academy as a costume and props designer, technical theatre assistant and sewing and fashion design teacher. The Crafty Krab is a labor of love to the Wilmington community and her personal effort to making an impact on our local beach environment.
Our Products
We are a donation-based store accepting gently used art and craft supplies from local community members, businesses and organizations.
Donation Guidelines
Art Supplies - paints (acrylic, watercolor, oil, tempera - unopened or nearly full containers), brushes, canvases (new or gently used), pencils (colored, drawing), charcoals, chalks, markers, pens, sketchbooks, paper
Craft Supplies - yarn, embroidery materials, beads, knitting and crochet supplies, jewelry supplies, clay, scissors, hole punches, stickers, cord and string
Sewing Supplies - fabric, thread, buttons, notions
Scrapbooking supplies - paper, tape, glue
Miscellaneous - frames, craft kits, tiles, wood cutouts, cards, stationery, magazines, candle making supplies, silk flowers, wreaths, corks
What we won’t accept - anything damaged or stained, toxic or hazardous materials, food items or perishables
At this time we are not accepting clothing except for denim items
Our Community
We provide affordable, gently used art and craft supplies, offering everyone a chance to access the resources they need to bring their ideas to life. We understand the impact that one recycled paintbrush or repurposed fabric can have on a project and the planet and we’re here to guide, support and even teach.
